Leyla has no idea how she’s going to afford it, but she decides to drown her sorrows and wear the dress out for one last time. David finds her wallowing in self-pity and offers to help Leyla out of her financial predicament, which she gratefully accepts. Soon afterwards, David breaks the news to Tracy at her birthday party that they won’t be going on holiday, since he’s just given Leyla the money. How will Tracy react? She ends up having a date with David’s super-fan Scott, while Laurel and Nicola watch on. Could this be the beginning of a blossoming romance? Elsewhere, Emma tries to make amends for her behaviour last week. Also today, Moira offers her support. Tuesday David has a new plan to surprise Tracy, but can it make up for yesterday?

Blundering Bob, played by Tony Audenshaw, was given the elbow after hosting a strippers’ night at the Woolpack – and things aren’t looking up for him when Brenda Walker, played by Lesley Dunlop, says she’s also washed her hands clean of her cheating ex.
She makes her feelings on the matter perfectly clear in a chat with Doug Potts, saying there’s no way she would ever get back with Bob – and not only that she thinks it best that he should leave the village. Unfortunately Bob overhears their conversation. But how will he react to her blunt words?
Thursday, 15 March Emmerdal: Ross Barton declared his love for Debbie Dingle using a white board, in a scene similar to that of Love Actually [ITV] Emmerdale viewers were left heartbroken as Ross Barton declared his love for Debbie Dingle in scenes that echoed romantic comedy Love Actually.
The character and casting was announced on 21 December Debbie is unhappy to see Cameron in the village. He is essentially a good guy but has a darker, edgier side to him. Debbie’s aunt, Chas Dingle Lucy Pargeter becomes his confidant and they grow close. A spokesperson for the serial told Susan Hill of Daily Star that there is “a slight spark of chemistry” between Cameron and Chas and that as the storyline develops it becomes “very interesting”.
The pair get more acquainted and “the more time they spend together the closer they get”. They eventually kiss and Chas feels guilty. Though the writers jumped to the couple’s defence because they had attempted to ignore their feelings. Debbie tells him that their affair was a mistake. Debbie finally gives into Cameron and they get back together. Cameron also clashes with Debbie’s father, Cain Jeff Hordley and tries to persuade Cain not to interfere in his and Debbie’s relationship.
Debbie learns Cameron had another affair after she left Jersey, but he insists it meant nothing and is delighted when Debbie tells him that she is pregnant but miscarries not long afterwards. Cameron tries to support her and not let his feelings show. His sons, Dylan and Harry , come to stay for a few days.

Edit Chas arrives in Emmerdale dressed as a nun for her cousin Marlon ‘s stag night. She is hired by her father, Shadrach Dingle , and ends the evening locked in the back of a van with Ashley Thomas. She moves in with the Dingles and gets a job as barmaid at The Woolpack. Chas has a son, Aaron Livesy with her ex-husband Gordon , whom she allowed custody.
Debbie turns violent this week in Hotten as her increasingly fractured relationship with Chas comes to a hilt and she ends up threatening her with a gun.
Cain confronts Charity who is shocked to realise Debbie is her daughter. She tries to hide it from her husband Chris but when the truth comes out she lies and insists Debbie is not her daughter. They eventually bond and Debbie grows close to her step-father, Chris Tate , pleasing Charity. Debbie then moves in with Charity and Chris; Chris suggests they adopt Debbie.
This affects him extremely, resulting in him cancelling plans to adopt Debbie. Charity and Cain begin an affair; Chris finds out and chucks Charity out, vowing for revenge.

Storylines[ edit ] Eric Pollard Chris Chittell had never divorced from his first wife, Eileen, and went on to have an affair with a woman named Lydia Holloway in They split up with Eric leaving knowing nothing the existence of his son, David Metcalfe, who was born shortly after. David arrives in the village in late , immediately turning the ladies’ heads. He came to the village, looking for his biological father, Eric. He gets a job at the sweet factory so that he can find out more about his father, striking up a flirty friendship with fun-loving Del Dingle Hayley Tamaddon and hoped some romance would come of it, but was disappointed when Del mistakenly thought her uncle Zak Dingle Steve Halliwell was his father and distanced herself.
The truth came out and Eric was stunned to discover that David was claiming to be his son. For some time after, Eric and David’s relationship was difficult. David told Eric how Lydia had struggled financially before marrying his adoptive father, Mr. Metcalfe, who treated David like dirt. However, Eric made it clear that he didn’t care and implied that Lydia had loose morals, so David hit him, making Eric determined to prove that David is lying.
A second test, however, confirmed that Eric was David’s biological father. David as he appeared in Despite his father’s disapproval of his friendship with Del, they continued to get along and David told Del about the money Eric had stolen from his late mother. David starts working on a plan to get the money back but Eric realised money was going missing and set up a secret CCTV camera to watch who used the office, and is devastated when he realizes what David is doing.

The character played by Connor McIntyre, who shocked viewers by surviving being pushed off a cliff by his wife, Eileen Grimshaw Sue Cleaver , has brought a reign of terror to Weatherfield. The builder has been at the heart of many of the soap’s darkest moments over the past year. He imprisoned and eventually killed Andy Carver. He was also behind the dramatic murder of Luke Britton who threatened to expose Phelan’s dastardly deeds.
Phelan’s reign of terror is up for Best Storyline and the character has also been listed for Villain of the Year. Viewers will vote for their favourite soap moment from the past 20 years to celebrate the anniversary. The one-off category called Greatest Moment features Coronation Street’ Richard Hillman driving his family into a canal in and EastEnders’ famous “You ain’t my mother” scene from A panel of industry experts will judge the remaining categories.

After his parents worry about Belle’s influence is having on Will and ban him from going to a “Emmerdale Explorers” sleepover. The following morning, he goes missing.
The police investigate, but Will is found by Jimmy King hiding behind a bush in the estate grounds. In August , Will is kicked by a horse and is rushed to hospital where he makes a full recovery. Ryan Lamb , who unbeknownst to Will is his half-brother, saves him and Will likes him, much to his mother’s horror, as Natasha knew the truth about Ryan.
Will is traumatized but still believes his father will come back. Will attempts to bond with Ryan but his brother, Nathan , forbids him from doing so. Natasha believes that Cain has abducted Will but they later find him in the cafe. Cain had picked Will and Belle up from school and bought them ice creams. In July, Will is devastated when his father’s body is found on the estate grounds.
Will is questioned by the police about when he last saw his father and a DNA sample is taken from the family members.

Jeff felt so well that he allowed himself to think that his condition had somehow disappeared.
