Mary Carmichael August 5, at I am looking for a scripture I remember the meaning of, but not the book or verse. I am not sure exactly how it is worded, but it talks about Heaven, and who will make it or not…. It was something along those lines. I need to study my bible more. I have a person that is stating God is Love, so same sex marriage is OK, because it is about Love…not the gender. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated, as I want to witness the Truth to this person, but want to do it correctly, or not at all, as I also believe false witnessing is an abomination. Thank you very much and God bless you Jack Wellman August 6, at 5: God is love, yes, but even more than that, He is holy and He can not even look at sin and so His holiness is perhaps His greatest attribute and in His love, He punishes sin.

But are you hearing them as they were intended? The Bible is not merely a collection of quotes, or one-liners, but is the telling of history. The Bible is a comprehensive story, from the beginning of the world to the end — not ending years ago or in the present, but at the end of the world at the return of Christ. The end is not unknown, but is already written.

Anti-miscegenationists — persons opposed to interracial marriage — come in a variety of types: Some are simple racists — most often white supremacists — who regard all non-whites as intrinsically inferior to all whites. Non-whites are often referred to as the “mud” races. Others believe that God divided humans into different races and expected them to remain separate from each other forever. In contrast, most theologians have given these same passages a non-racial interpretation.
We use the King James Version of the Bible here for copyright reasons. Some of the passages are:
Sof passuk Most important are the verse endings. According to the Talmudic tradition, the division of the text into verses is of ancient origin. Less formally, verse endings are usually also indicated by two horizontal dots following the word with a silluq. Parashah The Masoretic textual tradition also contains section endings called parashot , which are usually indicated by a space within a line a “closed” section or a new line beginning an “open” section.
The division of the text reflected in the parashot is usually thematic. Unlike chapters, the parashot are not numbered, but some of them have special titles.

This digital edition by Joseph H. This text is an Old Testament Pseudepigraphic catalog of demons summoned by King Solomon, and how they can be countered by invoking angels and other magical techniques. Translation is by F. Are you eating food sacrificed to idols?
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. We are spiritually dead. If you want, you can envision drowned people in a huge sea. The ocean is the sin that we are in, and since we are drowned, we are dead and powerless to help ourselves. The price has been paid! Those whom He has chosen, He picks them up from the death of drowning in sin, and He breathes life into them so they are able to believe and profess with their mouth that they have been saved from death!
The god of Muslims is revealed as a tyrant who demands Muslims and all others submit to him. Whereas in the New Testament, Jesus revealed to Christians a God who is a loving Father, who wants us to come to Him via free will.
Dealing with anxiety used to cause me sleepless nights. I felt lost in the world to deal with my thoughts, worries and fears. The mix often lead to panic, nausea and stress. Like many, many others, I dealt with it alone. And like many others, I looked for peace in anything outside of me. Even though I thought I was stuck with the worst of the worst when it came to dealing with anxiety, God showed me the way to get through it.
Today I meditate on His word when I want to turn toward Him, such as with these 17 Bible verses to calm your nerves. I believe there are different levels of severity when it comes to anxiety and that we should use discernment on how we seek help.
I never said goodbye dear but that was just as well I never could have said goodbye to one I love so well. I miss you most when I need a friend on you I always could depend kind and unselfish a wife so true my dearest possession is the memory of you Those who have a mother treasure her with care for you never know how much you love her until she is not there.
When called to part with those we hold on earth most dear the heart no greater sorrow knows no trial more severe We often think of bygone days when we were all together the family chain is broken now but memories live forever His live was full of kindly deeds a helping hand to all in need sincere and true in heart and mind a memory sweet he left behind God knows how we miss her never shall her memory fade loving thoughts shall wander to the spot where she is laid.
Your vacant place no-one can fill we miss you now and always will.
I love to reference a verse from the Bible when I write about Christian songs. But even better than that, I enjoy finding Christian songs that are titled after Bible verses.
Nasadiya Sukta Hymn of non-Eternity, origin of universe: There was neither non-existence nor existence then; Neither the realm of space, nor the sky which is beyond; What stirred? There was neither death nor immortality then; No distinguishing sign of night nor of day; That One breathed, windless, by its own impulse; Other than that there was nothing beyond.
Darkness there was at first, by darkness hidden; Without distinctive marks, this all was water; That which, becoming, by the void was covered; That One by force of heat came into being; Who really knows? Who will here proclaim it? Whence was it produced? Whence is this creation? Gods came afterwards, with the creation of this universe. Who then knows whence it has arisen? Whether God’s will created it, or whether He was mute; Perhaps it formed itself, or perhaps it did not; Only He who is its overseer in highest heaven knows, Only He knows, or perhaps He does not know.

This redaction also included some additions contradicting the strict ordering scheme and orthoepic changes to the Vedic Sanskrit such as the regularization of sandhi termed orthoepische Diaskeuase by Oldenberg, As with the other Vedas, the redacted text has been handed down in several versions, most importantly the Padapatha , in which each word is isolated in pausa form and is used for just one way of memorization; and the Samhitapatha , which combines words according to the rules of sandhi the process being described in the Pratisakhya and is the memorized text used for recitation.
The Padapatha and the Pratisakhya anchor the text’s true meaning, and the fixed text was preserved with unparalleled fidelity for more than a millennium by oral tradition alone. This interplay with sounds gave rise to a scholarly tradition of morphology and phonetics. There is a widely accepted timeframe for the initial codification of the Rigveda by compiling the hymns very late in the Rigvedic or rather in the early post-Rigvedic period, including the arrangement of the individual hymns in ten books, coeval with the composition of the younger Veda Samhitas.

Whenever He makes a promise He keeps it. We see this theme over and over again throughout the Bible and each new story is just as amazing as the last. Do you remember the story of Daniel in the Lions Den? What about the time whenever God kept Moses safe as he floated down the Nile River in a basket? God was faithful then and He is faithful now. Not always what I wanted…but He has always given me what I needed. What promise has God kept to you? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. As I look over this list I am reminded of just how wonderful our Heavenly Father is. God will never leave us and nothing can separate us from His love! He is our shield, our hope, and our promised victory!
